Review: The Kite Runner - For You, a Thousand Times over

“The Kite Runner” is a must watch movie for every heart-warming movies lover. It is a movie based on a book with the same title written by Khaled Hosseini, an Afghanistan now a resident in America. I have the books years ago but unable to finish reading it because I don’t have exact free time like now for leisure reading (that’s an abomination). I am inspired to watch the movie when I flew a kite during my Spring Camp.

The center for this movie is friendship. It’s how it is portrayed that makes it a great movie. The story is set in Afghanistan. A Pashtun boy named Amir befriends his servant, Hassan who happens to be a Hazara, the lowest caste (if I’m not mistaken) because the Hazaras are believed to be the Mongols. (spoilers, beware!)
